Wind Chimes

Wind Chimes | download mp3

Mom came to me one day, challenging me to write a song from the notes of the wind chimes on our front porch. I didn’t want to limit my note palette to six notes, but I noticed that they did make a pretty good arpeggio… The song blossomed from that until a backup accident destroyed the project files. The story would have ended there if not for Johann, who decided that he liked the song so much that he wanted to re-create it. And so he did, spending a few days (spread over a couple of weeks) painstakingly re-creating the melodies and trying to find the right synths for the job. Then he handed it back to me, and I spent a few days (spread over a few months) editing the song to my liking. Then I spent a few days making a music video.

Everything you see and hear in this video was created using open-source software.

I would like to stress: the "Sandy" part of my name is less important than the "E" part. The E is what really matters here, and if you want to shorten my name, refer to me as "E." I am the son of Alan Sanderson. I am cool, and I have a youtube channel. It's currently a work in progress, but that's gonna change as soon as I get around to it.
